Our urology and Men’s health staff consists of two physicians, Robert Garrison, M.D. and Art Klose, M.D. Both are urologists who are certified by the American Board of Urology and are members of the American Urological Association.
At the Carolinas Center for Surgery, we offer a full range of general urologic services, including kidney, bladder, prostate, penile, and testicular surgeries, kidney stone surgery, incontinence surgery, vasectomy, and the medical management of bladder and prostate disease, prostate cancer, urinary tract infection, and sexual dysfunction. Surgery and other treatment of uncomplicated pediatric urologic disease are also provided. Newer technologies such as laser surgery of the prostate, microwave thermotherapy for the prostate, or blasting kidney stones with shock waves or lasers are used when appropriate.
Medical services are provided at the Carolina’s Center for Surgery’s main office, including ultrasound and some x-ray procedures, and surgical services are provided either at the Surgical Center of Morehead City when appropriate, or at Carteret General Hospital. Both physicians have a close working relationship with specialists at nearby medical centers when necessary, and with urologists in nearby communities.
